Abstract

This is an edited transcription of a two-hour conversation between Jean Franco, Carlos Aguirre and Pedro García-Caro on November 1st, 2008. Professor Franco visited the UO for a symposium on Leftist Cultures in Latin America. This interview took place in the Marché café at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, University of Oregon. It is published here as an homage to professor Franco (1924-2022), who passed away two years ago and would have turned 100 this year.
