About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of the Transportation Research Forum (JTRF) seeks original manuscripts (i.e., articles, industry issue papers, and book reviews) which are timely in scope and germane to transportation. Articles are analytical papers that may be either empirical or theoretical research on transportation problems and issues. Industry issue papers may be descriptive in nature, addressing current issues that affect or will affect individual transportation industries (i.e., air, rail, and truck). Sales presentations for organizations veiled as articles or industry issue papers are not suitable for the JTRF.

Peer Review Policy

The JTRF is a double blind peer reviewed journal that is listed in the Journal of Economic Literature and Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities in Economics and Finance. Each paper submitted to JTRF is reviewed by two anonymous referees and one of the Co-General Editors. The comments of the referees and the Co-General Editor are summarized and sent to the author. Revisions are reviewed by one of the Co-General Editors to determine if the revision adequately deals with the concerns of the referees regarding the initial draft.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
