SUBMISSION OVERVIEW

Submissions for Fall 2013 publication will be accepted until FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2013.

Submission Tutorial (PDF)

Submissions to this journal consist of two parts:

  • a nomination by the student's faculty mentor, which can be submitted using the form at http://journals.oregondigital.org/ourj/pages/view/nomination. Authors interested in submitting should give this link to their faculty mentor.

  • a student-submitted manuscript. Submit online by following the instructions under ONLINE SUBMISSIONS above. After registering as an author for this journal and logging in, click "USER HOME" in the main menu and then click "[New Submission]".

EACH MANUSCRIPT SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

* Title page
* Abstract (1 paragraph, 250 words maximum)
* Text
* Acknowledgments
* Bibliography/Works Cited

*******************

SUBMITTED MANUSCRIPTS MUST CONFORM TO THESE GUIDELINES:

* 10-25 pages, double-spaced

* 12-point Times New Roman.

* 1" margins, single column.

* Word format (.doc or .docx)

* In the case of creative works, an essay detailing the work's composition, sources, performance, etc. is provided as the text, with the nontextual content provided as supplementary files.

* Citations and bibliography should conform to the standards of your discipline--MLA, APA, Chicago, etc. (In doubt? consult your faculty sponsor.)

* Avoid footnotes. However, if there is critical supporting text that does not fit in the main text flow, a footnote may be appropriate.

* Spell check and get someone else to proofread before submission.

  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  4. The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  5. If accepted for publication, author retains copyright but grants to the public a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
  6. Author's UO faculty mentor has submitted a nomination form
